Our success story started when Mahmoud Fathy, the Egyptian founder, got to know about the affiliate marketing in its very early stages in Egypt and the MENA in 2012. Google Adwords was more trendy at this stage of the online marketing evolution.
However, Fathy decided to untap the opportunity of utilizing the very basic knowledge he managed to get from his mentor (an academic professor, who gifted him a CD on how to master the tricks of this industry).
Fathy joined Bayt.com affiliates, and managed to increase his own income as an affiliate marketing. He invited his friends to join him and to build a small team, to manage scale the business, and it all went from there.
In less than two years, Mohammed Khartabil invested in Arabyads, and the business has become mature enough to scale to other products that are closely relevant to the performance marketing too.
Araby ads hired a team of in-house media buying to run CPL-model (Cost per Lead) campaigns. Then, one year later, the company launched the influencer marketing unit, that relies on social media stars to promote various products & services. This marketing tool used to serve brands awareness & engagement, however Araby ads managed to turn it over to a performance-based marketing solution.
